The noisy drips from the clubhouse's leaky roof are stopping the band from rehearsing. In the park Lah-Lah's new friend Fernando uses his rainstick to show them that the sounds water makes can be musical too.

The band is trying to play hide and seek but Squeezy Sneezy can't count high enough for the others to hide. Lah-Lah takes the band to the park to meet Pape, her new friend who counts a lot when he plays his talking drum.

Squeezy Sneezy has received an unusual gift from his nanna and is worried that it's too different. The band go to the park where Lah-Lah's friend Deva plays lots of instruments of the gamelan - all different shapes and sizes.

Its Lola's birthday so the band want to surprise her with a ballroom dance at her party. But they have forgotten how to do the dance. In the park Lah-Lah's friend Ben plays a tango on his French horn that jogs their memory.

Lah-Lah is excited to sing Buzz's new song. But Buzz confesses he hasn't written it - he can't find any ideas to get started. Lah-Lah's friend Carlos, playing his charango in the park, tells Buzz that books have great ideas.

Lah-Lah wonders if the band can sing 'a capella', but they are just used to playing music with their instruments. Lah-Lah's friends, a capella group The Idea Of North, help the band make their voices sound like instruments.

Buzz the Bandleader is so eager to rehearse that he has forgotten to use the magic word and is sounding a bit rude. Lah-Lah takes him and the band to the park to meet David, a very polite fellow double bassist.

Mister Saxophone has a new baritone saxophone he's finding hard to play and he won't join the band until it sounds perfect. In the park, Lah-Lah's new bassoonist friend Greg says that mistakes are part of learning to play.
